In-hospital death of a mother as a result of a haemorrhage following elective caesarean section, excluding cases where imaging has identified placenta accreta.

Worldwide, obstetric haemorrhage remains a problem in terms of both morbidity and mortality. Providers should be aware of applicable guidelines applicable before and after caesarean section to prevent women from dying from haemorrhage, particularly after an elective procedure:
